Online Dining Guides and Restaurants Websites

As a longtime food critic and more recent blogger, I am fascinated to see where the restaurant and digital worlds overlap. In this day of constant mobile access and affordable smart phones, everyone and their grandma is on the web all the time. Restaurants and eateries not only have websites but Facebook and Twitter accounts. Patrons €œlike€ their favorite restaurants or subscribe to their tweets. Websites for restaurants are professional, informative and aim to portray the ambience of the physical place. These digital tools create hype for new establishments long before they are open to the public, and generate business by offering specials and coupons and promoting live music and special events. No more do restaurants rely on the old-fashioned methods of food columns and word-of-mouth buzz to become known; through digital means, they can take charge of their own image. By manufacturing hype, sub-par restaurants can gain a following €“ at least until people come in and taste their food. Many people equate marriage with routine, monotony and a lack of romance. Many couples get busy with work or raising children and forgot to take time to be together. Dating is not just for new couples; making time for dates with your spouse will keep your relationship fresh and fun. A weekly date night may help you remember to go out, and searching an online restaurant guide or the local arts and entertainment paper will supply ideas for new things to do. Try an ethnic cuisine you’ve never sampled a cute new bistro. Go to a play, to a concert, or a roller derby match. And remember to dress up €“ you’ll both feel your best. If all you ever do at night is stay home, exhausted from work and raising kids, you’ll start to forget how to have fun.
